First of all, i started this topic allready and got some very good comments. Please dont start about buying the guitars , because they close the topic
I'm interested in how to improve my guitars and site, not in selling them here. So, if you got questions about the guitars, go to the website and dont post them here, please.
Concept
OK so what i have is an idea for a new guitar brand.
I like to know :
- what you think of the idea,
- if you think the price is correct,
- what you think would be a great guitar to see made by us.
- how can i confince you that the guitars are really good sounding and playable ones.
Marketing:
The problem is that when you make custom guitars, you get in the price range of prs, gibson, old fenders. Thoose guitars are allready on the market and keeping their value. In design theirs no problem to reich that same level or going beyond that. But i need more. Has anyone an idea about that.
I allready changed some things by some good advice on this forum. I really like to hear from you.
Greetings Emile

Did you design those paintjobs yourself? I don't think I'd ever be in a position to buy a custom guitar such as yours, but damn, those paint jobs are really amazing. I think you have a great concept, everyone's so used to seeing those same body styles, but that artwork just sets it off, and I wish you luck with your business!

You may have to get a few guitars out there at a price lower than what you would normally want to sell them for. Maybe find some local guitarists who are big in the scene, get them in for a demo, and see if they'll buy one at a severely marked down price as long as they shill the hell out of it for you.
Or just start slow and hope you get a core like PRS did.

I just started a promo sale to promote it indeed. Also you can find with some models a video made by a great guitarplayer. So, i'm happy to hear that they are the suggested staps to make.
I was wundering, do you like also the more natural guitars or do you prefer more the artistic guitars.

Personally? I love both. Were I made of money, I probably would give you some business.

Yeah they are out of my price range for now but I really like that blue strat. Do you offer just the bodies? That might be good because I have a guitar already that I like but I would love for one of those paint jobs. It would be kind of a waste for me to buy the whole guitar for just the paint job.

the problem is that we dont do just the paint job. we use not only paint but also carf and burn in it,so it's 3 dimensional. I was thinking about it just doing bodies. But still it is art, and what is art worth.
But good suggestion, still isnt cheap hahahaha
Oh and you need a good luthier to do the job. And thats also not cheap.
But i get your point!

I understand that it's quality work and that it has it's price. I'm just thinking that you might get more business if you could offer the body alone for a bit cheaper. Just a suggestion.
If I had two grand laying around I would definitely look into it but I simply can not afford it with my salary. I think it is worth probably about that much. They look incredible but like I said it's still expensive.

true, but emileguitars stands also for a high quality of a guitar. Thats something i have to let go then. Dont know if that is something i want or can do. still the bodies would cost around the 800 dollars. Would that attract more people to buy? i dont know. at least it's worth to try.

You might want to check out the competition prices at Warmoth.com
Their showcase features bodies that come in almost any wood with a detailed paint job. These bodies only run about 150-500 dollars and possibly more depending on the wood and body style. I think 800 dollars is a bit overpriced considering what these guys at Warmoth can do.

they are not worked at by an artist as EmileGuitars are. You wont find any kind of body we have at Warmoth. There bodies are excelent, but the artwork is allways the same. A nice atist painting costs allready 500, so with an good quality body (like a warmoth) the total will be over 800. And then i still have nothing earned by then...
The guitars are also masterbuild, and i can tell you, it's very easy to buy a warmoth body, but to match it with rest of your guitar takes craftmanship.Thats why i dont do it myself hahaha
Thanx for the reply !!

Oy:
Can you reread your post here and see how "salesman-like" it sounds, and totally unconvincing?
I agree with The Bends:
Screw the claims of your superior craftsmanship, which no one believes anyway--and sell the painted bodies at a reasonable price. NOW you got a chance at growing an unbelievable business!!!
For God's sake--you're just cutting via CNC like everyone else. This isn't rocket science here.

Emile, I agree with Ira, this is not a place for free advertising and this thread is certainly starting to sound like one. You are getting pretty close to having this this thread killed too.

So, let me get this straight, are you, or aren't you painting the guitars yourself.
Or are they just your designs?
I would also disagree that every Warmoth Body is the same.
But then again, I've always been an old fashioned sunburst kind of guy.
One more thing I would suggest, is that you incorporate a wider variety of pickup selections.
Some that I have in mind include:
-Kinmans
-Bare Knuckle Pickups
-Lindy Fralins
And lastly,
Make some MORE Telecaster Designs!!
I've never been a strat kind of guy, and although the Tele designs you have are interesting, they could be as intricate as some of the others you have.
Maybe you could offer the same design in your Strats as you do your Teles and have it a selectable option.
Hope this helps.
-Cheers
