If you are a beginner this little amp has everything you need. You have a huge range compared to other small amps to work with. The effects aren't the best but for the speaker size they do a great job if you ask me. This was my first amp and I still use it after 5 years of playing. The other good thing is it has a Speaker jack output and I have hooked a 4x12 cabinet up to it, but if you do this a noisegate is recommended or a compressor.

What do you especially like about this product?
The effects are phenominal for how small it is and the settings are easy to work with. Its great for experimenting.

What do you dislike about this product?
a couple of the effects sound too digital at times.

The sound is good, but there are a couple of problems with this amp that the folks at Crate should check into.

The power cord tends to go bad within a few months. I have repaired a few. For this reason, I would recommend an amp that has a detatchable power cord.

The reverb does feedback. Tightening the screws on the amp helps a bit. This will prevent the chasis from shaking so much.
