Well ... I tried to sell this Charvel model 1A guitar last week for parts. I was asking $125- for the loaded body and $120- for the neck but it didn't sell.

I did sell about 6 of the 11 items I put on there.

The scalloped neck is certainly worth more than $120- but when you snooze you lose and I'm not going to relist it.

I also had this set of Seymour Duncan quarter pound pickups on EBAY for $95- and they didn't sell either. I decided to put everything back together and upgrade the guitar by installing the Seymour Duncans in the Charvel model 1A.

In this photo the Seymour Duncans are installed but I have not taken the Jackson pickups out yet. I carefully labeled the Jacksons N-neck M-middle B-bridge and I will disconnect the Jackson pickups one at a time and solder up the Seymour Duncans.

Here is what they will look like from the front.

I will post one more picture when it's strung up.

You know...I had all of my guitars lined up and I asked a couple close friends which guitar is their least favorite out of the bunch. They choose this one. Thats why I was trying to sell this one first.

Now with the upgrade I'm sure I will be reaching for this one a lot more.

Black is a badass color for a guitar.

I don't care what anybody else thinks about it.

body....... $125-
neck ...... $125-
pickups..... $95-
neck plate.. $30-

total...... $375-

Agreed. So what about that guitar made it your friends' least favorite? I know a scalloped neck is not everybody's cup of tea.

It was just the color ... the other guitars present at the time were a couple of sunbursts , a candy apple red , a dark green flame top, and a red on white strat.
