I played one this week at Infinity Guitars here in Houston. It was quite possibly the best guitar that I've ever played. I immediately started mentally compiling a list of other guitars that I would have to sell to get that one. I doubt that I'll go that route but it was amazing! I haven't stopped thinking about it.
For starters, the guitar was beautiful. The quilt was almost 3 dimensional and the inlay work was beautiful without being gaudy. But the neck was what really hit me. It just fit my hand. I can imagine what Luke Skywalker must have felt like when he grabbed his first light saber.

I have a PRS CU22 that I think is a really good guitar. Great neck for my hands and the tone options are really good. Mine is a 10 top in whale blue so it's a beautiful guitar, in my opinion. As much as I like my PRS, I would have to say that this guitar just blows it away. Kind of hard to describe and I might feel different if I had hours to play it, but the first impression was magnificent.

I think I would have said the same thing before playing this guitar. I love my PRS. Like I said, maybe my opinion would change over time, but my initial reaction was "love at first touch".

I have Earlewood s/n 205. I would have to agree with you. It is possibly the finest guitar made. I have a 1987 PRS that I bought new and have played ever since. I have had Many guitars, new and old. Gibsons, Fenders, Ricks, Parkers, Gretsches, they all are good guitars but the J E T plays like an old friend. It is the only guitar I have ever picked up and wouldn't want to change a thing on it. Jeffery Earl builds a great guitar as well as a piece of art. I'd sell what ever you needed to to buy one. You won't be dissapointed. If you have any questions about it feel free to contact me. Happy Picking!

So what color is yours? I see the avatar pic, but I can't quite make it out on this monitor. Also, where did you buy yours?

Mine is called tigereye. It is basically browns and golds. Mine came from Ed Roman's in Vegas. A good friend of mine bought it on a trip to Vegas a while back. He had some health problems and needed to sell it so I bought it from him. I had admired it ever since he brought it back. I have played several at Roman's and they all were awesome. I think Ed Roman is the exclusive dealer for JET and Infinity gets them from him. I could be wrong and thats not to say they couldn't beat or match Ed's price. Mine is kinda unique. It was mis-marked with s/n 105 instead of 205 and came with a letter from Jeffery saying that he didn't want to refinish it to change it. I think there were two that were like this.
If you look at my photo I am playing a guitar that I made. It is a cross between a Les Paul and a CS 356. It has a one piece mahogany body routed out to be a semi hollowbody. It has a quilted maple top and a one piece rosewood neck that is 24 fret PRS scale. I made the intire thing from rough-cut lumber I bought on ebay. It is a great player and I use it all the time on stage. I like the Bigsby and hollow body feel without the large body. Check it out. It's pretty cool. Thanks, Paul

If you haven't sold what ever it takes to buy your Earlewood yet start now. I have had 160 since 2004, and I still can't get over how great the guitar sounds and looks. I am going to sell my Fender Masterbuilt 50th anniversary '54 Strat, so that I can buy a second. I have played and owned many types of guitars, and nothing compares to the JET. Try it you'll love it

Hi Snakeweirdo:
Your guess would be wrong. Why would you think or ask that, as I truely am curious? If you would like to ask me about my guitars, I have several including a PRS CU 22 10 top with birds(want to buy it?), a Hamer USA Vintage Korina Vector, and a 2005 EBMM JP6 Limited edition among others. The JET that is my avatar is my favorite guitar, and I would like to sell the Fender I mentioned previously, to purchase another JET Earlewood that is a little less ornate: I do not like gigging with an $9000 guitar, but I would risk a $5000+ guitar for the tone, playability and mojo that can only be found in a JET.
The JET Earlewood is hands-down the best sounding and playing guitar I have ever touched: I have tried Gibsons, but they were too muddy sounding, lacked the same feel and tonal range I got from the JET. LP's are also too heavy(before you ask I am 6'1" and 225 pounds) and , the quality isn't there(custom shop models included.) Gibby is charging boutique prices and providing a mass produced guitar.
If the LP's sounded anywhere near as good as what the JET does I would have to buy one: they don't come close, and as a matter of fact I would have saved over $4000.00 when I bought the one I have.
If you have any questions about any of my gear I would be happy to answer them. FYI I also have a Fender Blues Jr modded by Bill M. and a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100 half stack. If you want to know about my pedal board you are going to have to tell me something about your stuff.

Just joined this site. I do not typically post on the fourms, but I found this site off of a link on Jeffreys website. (JET Guitars)
I just wanted to clear up a post. I order my JET's directly form Jeff at JET Guitars.
I am a small store in Houston Texas. I enjoy carrying guitars in my store from the small hand made luthiers.
