Tell the truth--How many of these bands have you actually listened to or even heard of?

I've heard of 19 of them, and listen to one (RHCP).

Impressive--but I would expect that from you. There is a band listed called Dispatch--Why is there no Arkham Dispatch??

Because we didn't apply Smiley

I need a big list of festivals across Ontario so we can get in on them! We're playing one this summer so far, I want it to be 10 haha.

I'm at least familiar with 15 of those bands, and I've seen 5 of them live. I'm guessing a bunch of those bands are regional acts that they can get for cheap/free to fill in the gaps between the heavy hitters and/or fill out some of the smaller stages.

That one Bon Iver guy I've heard of, but haven't listened to. He just won the Grammy for best new artist. My wife said he was kinda folky but sounded really good. Said she listened to about 5 of his songs or so. She just mentioned him earlier today as a matter of fact and I haven't looked him up yet on youtube or wherever.

I've heard of 15 of them, and have at least one or more songs on my iPod from 7 of them (especially the Beach Boys and RHCP).

Even though the Beach Boys have become a hollow shell of their former selves, it's pretty cool that the living members have all gotten back together again.

They sounded great at the Grammys I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised

That's why you need a real manager/ promoter

Out of 86, I've heard of 22, listen to a handful: Radiohead, RHCP, Feist, maybe Foster the People; the Beach Boys I know of course, but rarely put on for casual enjoyment. But, I intend to add St. Vincent to that list some day soon. Or at least give her music some serious attention. I read an interview with her in a music magazine recently that intrigued me.

Heard of about a dozen of the bands, but I would only recognize a handful if I heard one of their songs on the radio!

BTW, the Beach Boys? Saw them on the Grammy's (the Great Grammys in their case), almost life like! Nice that they got a furlough from the rest home to make an appearance Smiley

I've heard of 25, but definitely would not recognize all of their music. I own music from 10 of them.

Chuck - I have a song by St. Vincent called "Cruel". It's catchy to the point of almost being annoying, but I love the quirky guitar sound that she throws in there. I listened to snippets of the other stuff, but haven't made the invest (time or money) to really give it a fair shot.

Not a list I listen to, heard of a couple, I guess I am old, I am fine with that really. Same age as Satriani.
