i've had this for six months ands its beginning to annoy me.physio/tiger balm/anti-inflammatory=no joy
stopping is not an option as its my job!
ideas, other than amputation or taking up the trumpet1

You're not going to like this but the best treatment as far as can be ascertained is rest or keeping the affected tendons still.
Have you asked your doctor about the possibility of a steroid injection provided there is no infection but only inflammation?
Otherwise, how good are you at playing the triangle?
