Anybody know either what replacement tuners will work on my Alvarez or where i can find out which ones will work on it? I googled for a while but didn't come up with anything. It's a 72 5023.

stewmac.com and gutarfetish.com both sell replacement tuners. Check out their sites and find some that will fit the holes already in your guitar.

I was trying to find out if anyone knew about the size that is required (ie length and hole dia). Anyone have a 5023 or know where i can find the original specs?

Remove a tuner and measure. Then check the stewmac.com webiste or call Stewart-MacDonald at 800-848-2273.
 
this rig requires something with a little more kick... plutonium!

Replacement has some of the tuners at this that was good to be known at some formats that was good to be known at this. I have to get some aspects that was at https://www.parentherald.com/articles/101413/20190816/parents-play-a-big-role-in-student-education.htm this was the site that have some formation along all of these that was good to be known with some formats.
