Most of the guitars I own are acoustic-electric and for amplification I just plugged them into a run of the mill electric amp on a clean channel. It was OK as far as it went but I felt I was missing something.
So on the hunt I went and ended up with this particular amp (I looked at the AER Compact 60 but way too expensive for my needs).
What a difference! With volume and master at around 12 o'clock and bass, middle and treble zeroed, and simply using the pre-amp and its EQs, I am hearing what seems to me to be a superior sound. I can only describe it as a warmer tone. I shall have fun exploring this thing.
If there is one very minor gripe, it is that once I turn the unit off, what I have stored in the looper is cleared but other than that I am rather happy with it.
30w (20w on batteries - 8Aa or NiMH rechargeable), two chorus settings, two reverb, mic or second instrument, anti-feedback, line out, Aux in and up to two footswitches (I have a Boss FS-6.)
A neat little unit.
