Is there anyone who is familiar with this amp that can tell me if this is normal:
I plug the guitar into the correct jack and power up the amp. The two dials all the way to the left are awesome...for about three seconds, then there is no sound at all.
It seems to cycle through and then there is sound again, for about a second or two then back to silence. It seems as if I am blowing a breaker of some sort, although it doesn't matter what I have the gain set at, either loud or quiet.
I've found that if I turn power off and depress the "D" preset as it powers back on then I'm good to go and the amp works fine except there are no effect whatsoever, just a plain amp to bopost the sound.

I bought this used and am exceptionally unfamiliar with this amp.
Any ideas?

Is it under warranty? Sounds like you are in need of repair as that is not "normal" by any means. Contact Line 6 technical support on their website and check your warranty period. Sounds like bad processor or something.
