first, welcome to the board.

second [smartassedremark] why don't you just get it over with and play bass? [/smartassedremark]

Chevelle is an awesome band dude, for three people to produce that kinda sound is amazing. First off, im not sure what kind of guitar and pickups your playing with, Pete Loeffler plays with several high end PRS's at low low tunings and I believe he mainly plays through a Mesa Boogie Mark IV. So your probably not gonna hit it on the dot with your set up. I suggest you set all your knobs at the 12 position and adjust from there. Good luck.

Welcome to Gnet!

Question: Which Chevelle album? Their sound has changed.

Also, I would not try to replicate a band's tone - find a metal tone, and cover Chevelle with it. Your amp won't sound like the album, mostly because the album has layered guitar parts.

Gain: to taste (DO NOT USE LOTS!!!)
Bass: 4
Mid: 8
Contour: 0 (most mids)
Treble: 7
Reverb: 2
Volume: to taste

this might not sound heavy for bedroom playing, but when you play with other instruments you will be heard in the mix Smiley

and a shoutout to Scotty for the JSX!
