I did play through a Fender blackface and the BBE made the pedals sound much better. However, when the pedals were off and just the BBE was on, it totally squashed the tone.

Do you have it set too high? I get no down side from just leaving it on all the time. My straight tone or any pedal noticeably sounds more head room an punch. You should not have the levels much past 12:00. It is a subtle enhancement and should sound transparent to your tone not as if an effect was on. It is not a compression effect so I cannot imagine why that would be happening.

It is also very important it be placed in the amp loop, last in chain. Anywhere else just will not allow it to work properly. It is a sonic frequency phase corrector and needs to be as close to the power amp out as possible.

I experimented for quite awhile with effects. I've never used many pedals at once. Always just a TS-9 or an 808 and the amp. I settled on my V.S. H2O >DD-6>TS-808>OCD>OC-3. Iv'e got alot to learn the ways of the signal chain. Running my overdrives/distortions before my delays was shutting them down.

So you have delay and a chorus before overdrive and distortion and that is working for you????

Do you have an amp loop?

I used to run a delay before my distortion. It worked ok, but it was definitely different, and more consistent when I ran my delay last. As for the blackface. I worked on it for a solid week. I changed settings pedal configuration and everything. I finally took the amp back and got a Classic 50 instead. It crushed the Fender. I still like my DeVille the best, but that is Fender's best amp as far as I am concerned.

For "Tonedude". I can only hear the repeats on my H-20 Chorus/Delay by runnung it before O.D.& Dist.'s. Visual Sound. pedals buffering for the chain. I run a DD-6 at the end set for ambience. I have a TS808, Jekyll-Hyde, & OCD between my delays. When I run my OC-3 Octave it's after all distortions in case I need to creats OctaFuzz etc. I have discovered that 2 JRC4558 chips run one into another can be adjusted to create some great sounds.

For AshStrat07. I totally agree with you about the Peavey Classic 50. I got an older 2x12 combo in beautiful cond. The owner had just had it checked by a tech who also put in regular JJ tubes. A great Blues amp. Also Rock etc. The reverb in those amps is sweet and pure. I would 'bridge' the volume inputs and got a thicker tone. Like a super "fat switch". Also VERY reliable.

Such useless and fake stuff here at college-paper.org reviews. I am not at all satisfied with the information they provide here. I think the content here is not authentic at all, I don’t think I can visit here again.
