Ashdown Electric Blue bass amplification loads legendary Ashdown tone into an affordable new amp head and a pair of high-performance, high-value combos.

The EB 15-180 1 x 15" combo uses a 180 Watts RMS fan-cooled fast-transient power stage, and a fully-featured bass preamplifier with inputs for both active and passive instruments, an illumunated VU meter, 5 band EQ with Bright and Deep switches, a front panel-mounted balanced DI output for connection to a PA or recording console, an FX loop, a tuner/line output and the classic Ashdown sub-harmonic generator.

A high-performance Ashdown BlueLine bass driver ensures exceptional attack, clarity and low-end performance, while an extension speaker output can be used to connect an additional cabinet for use in larger venues. The cabinet is finished in a tough, scuff-proof carpet covering with protective corners and a kick-proof metal grille.

General Comments:
i was so annoyed when i went to look at bass amp reviews that there was no catagory for ashdwn amps... these amps are the gods in the bass amp world...

anyways.... this amp is a demon... perfect for any styles.. the 5, count 'em, 5 tone knobs allow for a great variety of tonality from one amp... these can be used in conjunction with either the preset "deep" or preset "bright" for added tonal quality... the sub-harmonic button generates a harmonic note an octave below the one being played for added depth in the higher registers...

it also looks hot with the blue motif and the inside of the cone lined with blue...

What do you especially like about this product?
it plays beautifully, easy to get sick sounding tones out of it for any style.. i've gotten perfect funk, indie, latin and metal tones out of it...

What do you dislike about this product?
that i cant affored an ashdown stack...
